Fluidra has acquired the ornamental fountain branch of business of Somhidros, Spain’s leader in the sector. This acquisition will expand its portfolio in the sector of commercial pool.
Somhidros has longstanding experience in the design, technological development and installation of ornamental fountains, water features and artificial lakes, amongst others. With a clear focus on sustainable innovation, the company’s projects deliver on low power consumption, as well as completely recycling the water used in them.
Amongst Somhidros’ latest creations, it is worth highlighting the full makeover of Barcelona’s Montjuïc fountains, the installations at the Puerto Venecia shopping resort (Zaragoza), in addition to numerous international projects in cities such as Moscow, Jakarta, Sochi and Baku; in the latter city, the company installed the world’s third tallest geyser-like fountain, which shoots the water up to 140 metres.
Fluidra has extensive experience in the world of fountains, and has worked alongside Somhidros as a strategic partner on many of its projects, such as a number of shopping malls in Russia.
